Nesta is hosting the next IMPETUS Webinar on Citizen Science and Climate Resilience: The Benefits of Citizen Science for Water Policy and Management on Wednesday, 5th February, from 12:30 to 13:30 GMT.
This 1-hour online webinar will explore how citizen science data is being used to inform water policy and management.
The session is designed for local authorities, municipalities, public sector organisations, and anyone interested in working with citizen science data. Participants will gain practical resources and insights to incorporate citizen science into their work.
The webinar is part of IMPETUS, a citizen science innovation program aimed at strengthening connections between citizen science, society, and policymakers while addressing some of today’s greatest challenges.
Key Questions to Be Explored:
- What are the challenges and opportunities of using citizen science data in water management?
- How can citizen-generated data be integrated with official and traditional monitoring data?
- What strategies can connect the citizen science community with key stakeholders, such as local authorities and organizations interested in using citizen science data?
- What is the potential value of citizen science data for local authorities and public institutions? How can this value be leveraged to scale citizen science efforts?
